Toro Calican is a prototypical poser. Rich in credits but in need of street cred, he hires the Mando to do his dirty work. Things don’t exactly go as planned and everyone double-crosses everyone else and everything ended up back where it started.

When I first saw this jerk, I thought he looked like Topher Grace from Spiderman 3. Or James Franco, who was also in Spiderman 3. Really makes you think… It’s refreshing to finally see a bounty hunter on screen. For those readers who have trouble detecting sarcasm in print, that was sarcasm. Visually there’s just nothing that really stands out about Toro Calican. As a positive that means he would fit into a Cantina or Sail Barge display, but he’s not the kind of character meant to anchor a wave of figures. That being said, he does interact memorably with the Razor Crest and “shootout on the loading ramp” would be a pretty cool scene to create.
