It’s fair to say that Amy Sedaris is an acquired taste. When I heard her unmistakable voice on The Mandalorian, I did a double-take. I can honestly say she was one of the last people I’d expect to show up in the Star Wars Universe, but she actually has a long history of working with Jon Favreau going back to Elf. Peli Motto could probably be described as a comic relief character, but she never feels out of place in the episode whether it’s chastising Mando for his poor parenting or gambling with Pit Droids.
From a marketing standpoint, a Peli Motto action figure is a tough sell. She doesn’t exactly embody the concept of action and her outfit, though Star Warsy in it’s way, isn’t particularly striking. That being said, she does interact with the Razor Crest quite a bit, and it would be a shame to have that big beautiful ship with nobody to fix the fuel tank in Mos Eisley. Perhaps including a repacked pit droid would sweeten the deal? This is probably the best shot to ever get my second favorite Sedaris sibling in action figure form.
