While many of the Holiday Special aliens seemed somewhat rushed, Kelbo looks particularly unfinished. Kelbo was later identified as the only known example of a subspecies of Orange Nikto. This was after some genius decided that Nikto and Klaatu were both Niktos and thus had to introduce the concept of Nikto subspecies. Half the Galaxy is Nikto offshoots at this point.

Kelbo can be seen either arguing or flirting with Zuttmore. So I guess there is at least one built-in figure interaction here with one of the only Holiday Special figures to exist. Kelbo is at least a “new” alien, using makeup effects instead of a mask, but he’s not super interesting. Besides his almost featureless mask, Kelbo sports a brown sweater and a black hood.
