Despite being based on a repurposed Devil mask, I’ve always thought Devaronians were an underused alien species throughout the Saga. They certainly haven’t been absent from the variety of old and new canon sources, but there seems to have been a reluctance to use them on screen. Thankfully The Mandalorian team gave us Burg, a much bulkier (and vocal) example than our dear friend Labria. Burg is the muscle for the operation, and he’s not afraid to show off his abilities.

We’ve had a couple Devaronians in the line, but none of them have been good figures. Burg offers a great chance to correct that, as a principle player in the Prisoner plot with a mix of fun action scenes, tossing R1 droids and getting unceremoniously dumped into the Razor Crest’s Vacctube chamber. Good times. Burg’s size and look probably give him a leg-up over Mayfield, but why not a multipack? And while we’re at it, Labria could definitely use an update too.
