Everyone remembers Arleil Schous one of the “wolfman” characters in the Cantina who got replaced in the Special Edition (he’s technically designed as a bat-demon). Well, Arleil will never be erased from the Holiday Special where he gets in a knife fight with Cycyed.

As depicted in the Cantina stretch goal figure, original Arleil appears to be basically wearing a white nylon jacket to go along with his mask and gloves. To celebrate Life Day, he changed into a comfortable red robe and a pair of heavy black leather work gloves- oddly common in this Cantina (and also the apes in Planet of the Apes). Though I cannot confirm, I have a theory that one of Arleil’s original hands was used for the reshoot of the severed Ponda Baba arm and was thus separated from the original costume.

Many are overjoyed with the prospect of Arleil Schous coming with the Cantina Haslab if we can hit that. It would not be terribly difficult to repurpose that head and maybe a Jedi sculpt to make this figure. I guess some people would like that too. This could also be a convenient workaround to release Arleil even if the final tier doesn’t hit, but that’s probably wishful thinking.
