The Battlefront News YouTube channel has speculated on the possibility of the Executor, Darth Vader’s Super Star Destroyer, in Battlefront 3 and offer a possible hint dropped by DICE. I for one would love a level featuring the most imposing spaceship from the entire saga.

Coming out of E3 is news that Battlefront 3 will see a spring 2015 release as well as this new trailer.  Some of the in-engine footage is insane:

I thought this was pretty fun.  Gamespot compiles 30 years of Battle of Hoth video game history in advance of the presumed first look at Battlefront 3 at E3.

According to the site Metro UK, Disney has canceled the free-to-play space combat simulator Attack Squadrons and speculate that this could mean a return to the X-Wing video game franchise.

It looks like this is shaping up to be a video game Thursday.  TekRevue has compiled a list of the 10 worst Star Wars video games ever.  I bought two of them.

Dennis Brännvall, a gameplay designer for Battlefront 3 at EA DICE dropped a hint via Twitter that we may be seeing some water maps in the hugely anticipated upcoming game.

DICE has confirmed that Battlefront 3 will be making an appearance at next month’s E3 expo in Los Angeles (June 10 - 12).  Why do I get the sense that I’m the only one who is excited about Battlefront 3?

Those of you who are on my friends list on XBox live know that I have a thing for the Lego video games.  It’s the open world freedom of those games that I love. The fact that there are rumors of an Arkham Asylum style Star Wars game in the offing give me nerd glad.

Now that the source code has been made public, the still popular Jedi Knight 2 from 2002 is undergoing an HD upconversion by a member of the player community.

Prior to the dissolution of LucasArts, the team was working on an Arkham Asylum style Darth Maul title.  Game play footage of that game has been leaked to YouTube.  Hey Disney, I want this game.  Please change you mind.

Some new job listings posted online today by Visceral Games reveal some new details on the upcoming Star Wars title, most notably the fact that the game will indeed be a third person action-adventure title.

The official YouTube channel has released a trailer for Star Wars:  Assault Team, a turn based card game for iOS, Android and Windows devices.  The game seems vaguely reminiscent of The Bard’s Tale which was the greatest video game ever.  Emphasis on vaguely. 

Microsoft exec Phil Spencer has revealed he’s a fan of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and is prepared to investigate the creation of an Anniversary Edition of the RPG.

I would personally do back flips for an upgrade of the game for modern consoles.  I first played the game upconverted on the 360 and it was a tad jittery.  An native HD version would be cool

Disney Interactive has teamed up with LucasArts to announce Star Wars: Assault Team which is (another?) turn based “card” game for mobile devices.  I guess Star Wars: Force Collection is now the Windows ME of Star Wars card based video games.
