As you know from my colleague Nomadscout, he lives in a region where, on Force Friday, you find everything at precicesly the stroke of midnight. For those of us out here in the sticks things are different. I did manage to see everything that is generally available (except for the Black Series 3.75" figures and other exclusives), but it took varying stops. My biggest take away from the morning is this: the Luke Skywalker product is absolutely the fastest to move today.
Stop 1. 6:30 AM:
First stop of the morning. Half hour after open. Black Series Deluxe shipper is still sitting on the cart. Five miles from this location is a store that sells live chickens.
Also at my first stop, the obligatory "Oh my God, who the hell cares?" product that will be taking up a lot of space.
Stop 2. They put out 1 case of 5POA. The Luke was already gone. That is it.
Stop 3. Now we're getting a little more urbanite and, as expected, slightly better results. NO 3.75 product at all. No 5POA. No vehicles.
Third stop was in a more urbanite area. Now we're cookin'.
Centerpieces? Are these supposed to go on your dining room table on Life Day?
Stop 4. The shipper displays were identical to stop 3, but heavily picked over. The BS6 Lukes and Jedi Training Reys were all gone. I did mange my lone Force Friday purchase. It was their last Jedi Master Luke Skywalker:
Cue the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme.
Last stop was Target, but by 8:15, the Black Series product was already picked over. They did have all the rest of the Force Friday general release product. I did manage to finally see the BB-8 playset to completely my "catch and release" hunt. They had one 5POA Jedi Master Luke remaining.
