While Sting, Bono and Gabbo are a novelty here on Earth, Aves joins a long list of mononymous Star Wars characters.  Aves served as Talon Karrde’s chief aide and communications officer.  He operated as a liaison between Karrde and the crew of the Wild Karrde in a role that could best be described as a smuggler NCO.  Aves was Karrde’s trusted right hand man, so much so that he was eventually given the command of his own ship.

While the role of scoundrel’s lieutenant holds a warm place in the hearts of Star Wars fans, Aves isn’t a giant walking dog, so he lacks unique appeal.  Aside from being scruffy looking, there is nothing that stands out about the character visually.  No Thrawn Trilogy figure ensemble would be complete without Aves, but Hasbro would probably err on the side of an incomplete Thrawn Trilogy ensemble.
