NYTF09 - Trip

Well, a quick note on my experience at the Hasbro Media Event (Not actually Toy Fair - Hasbro doesn’t go there.)

It was fun, and I’m glad I got to go.  It’s a short drive to the event location from my home just through the Lincoln Tunnel.

Anyway...thanks to my lovely wife, I was dropped off right in front of the building.  Easy.
Hasbro organized the event very well.  The 2 hour presentation was held in a theater with (I guess about) 50-60 site reps.  About 20 minutes or so was spent on each of the lines (SW, JOE, TF, Marvel) and then there was a group Q&A.

After that, the masses were divided into 5 groups, and we each in turn toured Star Wars, GI JOE, GI JOE video Game, Transformers (plus video game), and Marvel.

Although I had heard horror stories of the competitiveness of the various sites’ photographers, I did not witness any problems.  Things moved quickly, and as soon as it was over, I hit the Port Authority Bus Terminal right across the street and was home in no time.

Here is a pic of the “swag” handed out at the end.  3 thumb drives, which contained most of the information at the Toy Fair.  (The Star Wars slide show was later provided to us online).
