9/10 Bantha Skulls

Another outstanding member of Wave 5.  You get a jawa, which is the same figure as the TAC version - repainted and with new accessories.  You also get, for the first time, the much requested WED-15 Septoid Treadwell droid.

The Jawa is excellent (as was the TAC version).  This one has new colors.  The vest is dark, while the shoes are tan.  The TAC version had a tan vest and dark shoes. The robes are similarly colored, but are shaded differently to help with variation.  This Jawa also has metallic gold eyes, whereas the TAC version had yellow eyes.  The sculpt is excellent, with plenty of detail.

Accessories make this guy different.  The bandolier is new.  This time around, he has his weapons holster on his right side and is decorated with some nifty artwork.  The TAC version had a pistol holster on his left, and a droid caller holder on his right.  This weapon is very large - the largest so far for a jawa.  It has a power cable that wraps around his body and attaches to some sort of power pack, which is slung over his shoulders.  One problem is that the Jawa has some difficulty holding the weapon properly.  Bummer.

There is a small cannister that is also included.  I’m not sure what this is.  I thought it was a droid caller, but it is much larger than the TAC accessory, and barely fits inside his hand, which you must stretch to get his fingers around it.  Just doesn’t seem right, so for the time being, it’s a mystery to me.

The star of this set is the Septoid Droid.  It’s very large, and has, you guessed it, 8 arms.  So that way.....wait....8 arms?  Yes indeed!  But before you make fun of Hasbro, realize that a close inspection of the reference pic above shows.....8 arms!!!  Let’s hope the kids don’t try to figure this one out.  Anyway, Hasbro spent a lot of time getting this thing right.  Maybe it should have been whiter in color, but other than that, it’s pretty sweet.  So now your Jawa droid sale lineup is complete!  What more could you want?

It’s a great Jawa, with a great droid.  Get it!  GO!  NOW!!!!
