Here’s one of the more interesting opinion pieces I’ve seen on The Last Jedi. The majority of viewers seemed split on whether Rian Johnson went too far in shaking up the Star Wars we know, or if he managed to strike a nice balance by honoring the old and introducing the new. Here’s a point of view that suggests he failed because he didn’t go far enough in shaking up The Galaxy…
Back in May, Rian Johnson had revealed that he had requested J.J. Abrams make a small change to the ending of The Force Awakens. Now, of course, we know why…
Many fans went into full Wookiee Rage mode after Admiral Ackbar was killed off in The Last Jedi in a fashion inappropriate for a great hero of The Saga. While one key member of the production team for The Last Jedi may have expressed some mild regrets about the scene in question, we are left to wonder if it’s really worth all the fuss…

It’s a Festivus miracle!
Now that The Last Jedi has hit theaters, we’re taking a second look a the BB-8 Mega Playset, which we reviewed back in September after Force Friday II. Not only do we now have the film in the rearview mirror to better understand this set’s place in the galaxy, but we’ve also discovered some interesting new twists to the Force Link capabilities. A bunch of news outlets are reporting that as part of the “massive” fan backlash against The Last Jedi, one guy from Georgia named Henry Walsh has set up an online petition to urge Disney to strike the film from canon, as it had done with decades worth of Expanded Universe material. But despite the reporting, if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that Henry Walsh learned something he wasn’t expecting…
Star Wars seems to be all about cameos these days, although until the Disney era, the vast majority of them were for Lucasfilm insiders. Here’s a list of cameos for The Last Jedi, although some of which I personally wouldn’t really qualify as a true cameo…
In the months leading up to the release of The Last Jedi, guesses for box office numbers for the opening weekend take ranged from a conservative $175M to an optimistic $225M. While not yet official, it’s looking pretty good so far…
